The TM8610 is ideal for time and attendance applications. The rugged enclosure survives abuse commonly inflicted on time clocks. A single key toggles the time clock between "clock-in" and "clock-out". For more sophisticated applications, the TM8620 and TM8630 allow 8 different time punch types, such as clock-in overtime, clock-out lunch, clock-out sick, etc. Built-in prompt sequence management allows the time clock to continue guiding your employees through time punch sequences even when the host system fails or is too slow to keep up with rapid-fire clock-out transactions. Once data is accepted by the TM8600, it is safely protected until delivered to the host system. This is critical for payroll applications. In the event of power failure, the data buffer in the TM8600 time clocks will automatically retain data for extended periods. A special communication technique assures no data loss when transmitting information to the host system.
Labor Reporting
The TM8620 and TM8630 include a numeric keypad for labor tracking applications. Eight different time punches allow the operator to quickly record task beginnings and ends. Optional hand held barcode scanners let the operator enter work order numbers from barcoded operation sheets, and match list validation from 30 different internal tables independently confirms operator identification, authorization, and work order numbers.
Access Control
Optional reed relays allow the TM8600 to automatically open and close doors. Internal match lists insure only authorized people are allowed past a controlled door. Internal checking of personal identification numbers (PIN) against badge number satisfies the traditional security tenet of "something owned, something known."
Shipping
The rugged metal enclosure and optional solid state relays make the TM8600 family a valuable shipping control terminal. The metal case is narrow (less than 9-1/2" wide), which allows it to be mounted inside steel I-beams. Built in badge readers, internal personal identification number (PIN) validation, and optional solid state relays allow the TM8600 to control who opens shipping doors. Handheld barcode laser scanners allow operators to quickly tally truck loading, drastically reducing the time spent re-checking loads. When unloading, barcode scanning of received packages provides rapid, accurate material control information. The information can be used to immediately alert receiving personnel to expedited deliveries.
