Senior Recruiter (Contract)

The Recruiting Department at Instrument functions to strategically support teams in hiring talent to help our clients look ahead, bring concepts to life, and build systems that shape the future.

As a Senior Recruiter at Instrument, you navigate seamlessly between supporting Instrument’s leaders and discovering amazing talent. This position will provide recruiting support across all disciplines including; production, technology, strategy, design, operations, writing. You will work closely with key decision makers to build out talent strategies, programming, and recruiting for key roles across the agency. You’ll collaborate with Recruiting Lead to understand priorities and work through blockers. You’ll own sourcing, interviewing, and offers with full-time and freelance candidates across teams and geographies.

What You’ll Do

  • You’ll work with a coordinator to achieve your goals to meet the demands of FTE and FL hires. You know how to delegate and inspire junior team members to achieve success.
  • Manage a full-cycle recruiting process from sourcing to interviews and offers while ensuring a smooth, positive and equitable candidate experience
  • Collaborate with key stakeholders to understand hiring needs and create robust interview plans that identify the talent and skills required for open positions
  • Creatively source top candidates from multiple channels including referrals, research, cold outbound, networking events, and a variety of sourcing tools
  • Participate in industry and recruiting networking events with a special focus on engaging with underrepresented populations and communities
  • Develop talent strategies and events programming to thoughtfully and genuinely engage with creative candidate pools

What You’ll Bring

  • 2+ years of recruiting experience in a creative agency environment
  • 5+ years of senior full-cycle recruiting experience, specifically in a high-growth, high-performance environment, working on roles in a competitive market
  • Extraordinary emotional intelligence; a natural empathy for fellow humans and an uncanny ability to read people and anticipate their needs, hopes, and dreams
  • Exceptional communication skills across all channels (phone, in-person, email, Slack); and the ability to build trust and instant rapport with leaders and candidates alike
  • Insatiable curiosity; a drive to understand not only the “why” behind every role, but also the long term business needs for the agency as well as for our clients
  • Genuine enthusiasm and dedication for (and ideally experience in) diversity, inclusion, and belonging initiatives and programs
  • Comfortable moving extremely fast with the ability to navigate ambiguity and critically think through complex problems
  • Open and people-centric approach to work and getting things done with the ability to adapt your communication style and methods as needed
  • Not required, but may have a bachelor's degree, preferably in human resources, communications, psychology, or commensurate work experience
