Strategy Director —

You are an experienced senior strategist that enjoys elevating brands leveraging well-informed insights. You understand the nuances and complexities of how a brand shows up across the digital landscape, and can communicate that brand’s purpose in a way that’s authentic, inspiring and innovative. You are excited about the intersection of strategy, design and technology, and enjoy peeling back the layers of complex problems to uncover hidden gems that will unlock a brand’s potential. You’re an excellent communicator and influencer that thrives in a highly-collaborative, multi-disciplinary team. You know how to maintain vibrant and compelling client relationships while seeking to expand and grow into new project opportunities.

What You’ll Do

  • Shape the vision and craft of the strategy discipline on an integrated, multidisciplinary client team
  • Partner with the Client Executive Director to build trusted relationships with clients
  • Lead the strategy workstream on 2-3 client projects at any given time
  • Bring the power of previous experiences coupled with leveraging your team to tackle client issues across the spectrum of Strategy - from digital and content strategy, to brand and business consulting strategy
  • Present concepts and recommendations in a compelling and impactful way to senior level clients and internal teams
  • Oversee the design and strategy for utilizing quantitative and qualitative research to generate meaningful and intuitive insights that drive creative concepts
  • Hire, manage and mentor junior strategists on your client team
  • Partner with the VP of Strategy to support and contribute to the broader Strategy Discipline across the agency, including: development of thought-leadership, coordinating and leading internal workshops and mentoring junior strategists and representing the agency at conferences and in the marketplace

What You’ll Bring

  • 10+ years of strategy experience including projects for large and small brands
  • 3+ years of experience leading a small strategy team
  • Broad set of strategy skills and experiences across digital, brand, content, UX/UI, marketing and business consulting, with deeper skills in 2 or more of these areas
  • Experience leveraging qualitative and quantitative research frameworks and techniques to gain informed insights to drive creative vision and concepts
  • Experience designing and leading workshops with senior to C-suite level clients leveraging strategic design-thinking frameworks
  • Experience working with and collaborating closely with large multi-disciplinary teams
