Strategy Director, UX & Brand

You are an experienced director-level strategist that enjoys elevating brands by applying well-informed insights to produce beautiful, yet functional digital products, services, and engagement platforms. You understand the nuances and complexities of how a brand shows up across the digital landscape and can explain that brand’s purpose in a way that’s authentic, inspiring and innovative. You are excited about the intersection of strategy, design and technology, and enjoy peeling back the layers of complex problems to uncover hidden gems to unlock the catalyst for transformation within a client’s digital ecosystem. From driving loyalty to launching new products and services, you understand how to use digital technologies to connect brands with their customers. You know how to maintain vibrant client relationships while aiming to expand and grow into new engagement opportunities.

What You’ll Do

  • Shape the vision and craft of the strategy discipline on a growing, integrated client team
  • Partner with the Client Executive Director to build trusted relationships with clients
  • Lead the overall strategic process on 3-5 client projects at any given time
  • Support the hiring, career management and mentor junior strategists
  • Bring the power of previous experiences to solve client issues across the spectrum of strategy - from user experience and content strategy, to brand and digital transformation strategy
  • Lead the research into industry trends, competitive information, along with consumer insights to create and present concepts and recommendations in a compelling way to our teams and senior-level clients
  • Partner with the Research and Testing Team to oversee the research design and strategy for using quantitative and qualitative research to produce meaningful insights that inform and guide creative concepts
  • Reporting to the VP of Strategy, you’ll partner to support and contribute to the broader strategy discipline across the agency, including: development of thought-leadership, coordinating and leading internal workshops and mentoring junior strategists and representing the agency at conferences and in the marketplace

What You’ll Bring

  • 10+ years of strategy experience, which includes leading digital programs and engagement projects for large and small brands across a variety of industries and geographies
  • 2+ years of experience supervising junior strategy team members
  • Broad set of strategic skills and experiences across digital brand, digital content and information architecture, digital user experience and interaction design, digital design systems, mobile applications, digital marketing, social media and campaigns and digital transformation
  • Understanding of what it takes to build connected, user experiences - with experience building wireframes, user journeys, information architecture and content strategy
  • Experience applying qualitative and quantitative research frameworks and techniques to gain informed insights to guide creative vision and concepts
  • Experience designing and leading workshops with senior to C-suite level clients using strategic design-thinking frameworks
  • Experience collaborating closely within large, diverse teams
