Senior Technical Producer
Instrument is a design and technology company. We build brands, products, and experiences that move businesses forward—by making the complex simple.
For over 20 years, we’ve partnered with companies like Google, ServiceNow, Uber, Eventbrite, and ŌURA, helping them navigate change, launch new ideas, and grow with intention.
Our work spans Brand, Marketing, and Product, but what defines us is how we work. We bring strategy, design, and engineering together from the start, moving quickly from idea to execution and refining as we go. We aim to do great work and be great to work with, because both matter.
We’re a collaborative, hands-on team with roots in Portland and New York and a distributed presence across the U.S. and Europe. We build teams around the needs of the work, staying nimble without sacrificing craft.
We value curiosity, perspective, and continuous learning, and we’re committed to building an inclusive environment where people can do their best work.
If that sounds like you, we’d love to meet you.
We’re looking for a Senior Technical Producer who can lead complex technical projects and help teams deliver exceptional digital experiences. In this role, you’ll guide multidisciplinary teams through the full project lifecycle—from concept through launch—while balancing business goals, technical feasibility, and user needs.
You’re comfortable working across disciplines and partnering with clients, strategists, writers, designers, and developers. You understand best practices in production, project management, and product delivery, but you don’t rely on formulas—you adapt your approach to ensure teams move forward effectively and successfully.

- Lead design breakdown sessions with developers to clarify requirements and align on implementation.
- Monitor project velocity and proactively identify risks to timelines or delivery.
- Ensure the right team members are engaged at the right time to maintain momentum.
- Collaborate closely with cross-functional partners across strategy, design, engineering, and client teams.
- Balance innovative ideas with practical technical feasibility.
- Maintain clear, proactive communication with both internal teams and clients.
- Foster strong working relationships and guide teams through challenges with clarity and calm.
What You'll Bring
- 5–8 years of experience producing complex digital or technical projects.
- Experience leading multidisciplinary teams and managing enterprise-level client relationships.
- Strong understanding of software development processes and terminology.
- Experience working with Agile methodologies and CI/CD pipelines.
- Ability to translate between technical teams, stakeholders, and clients to ensure alignment.
